Self Supporting chain mail (or fabric?) for 3D printing

thingiverse

This chain mail, made from scratchy fabric, is specifically designed for 3D printing constraints, featuring no overhangs and a maximum span angle of 45 degrees. It can be resized vertically for smaller prints, but its current design is conservative. To enhance aesthetics or skin comfort, consider modifying the design on the pointy side. The flat bottom ensures good adhesion to the print bed. For printing, use no raft/supports and adjust settings based on scale; it's sturdy with two shells at medium resolution on a Replicator 2. When stacking items, maintain proper spacing to prevent contact. This design has been checked with NetFab.
