Self-Regulating Heat Bed for Ultimakers (and other 3D printers)
thingiverse
A heated build platform (HBP) enhances print quality by preventing warping. As extruded plastic cools, it contracts slightly; uneven contraction causes warped prints, usually visible as raised corners. A heated bed maintains the printed part's temperature during printing and allows more uniform plastic cooling. HBPs generally improve print quality with materials like PLA and ABS and can eliminate the need for rafts. This self-regulating heat bed is suitable for PLA (green LED) or ABS (red LED). It provides detailed assembly and configuration instructions, as well as calibration guidance to achieve desired operating temperatures for both PLA and ABS.
