This is a deeply introspective piece that mirrors both its literal and figurative essence. My self-portrait is an exact representation of my current and continuously evolving state as a living, breathing human being. As people, we are constantly shifting through time, growing, and refining ourselves to become better versions of our own selves. The notion that I am relentlessly moving forward in time and undergoing transformations into different iterations of myself has prompted me to bring this extraordinary idea to life within my portrait. As I traverse the passage of time, my visual identity keeps pace with me, my face changes, my body changes, my skin undergoes a transformation. This vessel is aging, and at its end point, I project my face. Gazing directly ahead, my face appears normal, but when viewed from a different angle, just like many aspects of life, you can see the extrusions and this visual representation of myself shifting through time, gradually propelling into the future along my timeline as a human being.
