Self locking Y belt holder for Anet A8

This is a self-locking belt holder designed specifically for the Anet A8 3D printer. To ensure optimal performance, the belt height is carefully aligned with the pulleys, which was originally set to 9mm too high. For those who have correctly assembled their bed plate holder by deviating from the standard Anet A8 assembly instructions, this device may not be suitable as the belt height would already be in alignment with the pulleys. Key benefits of this self-locking belt holder include: 1. Self-locking mechanism that requires no screws, adjusts to any belt thickness, and eliminates slippage. 2. Belt height is precisely set 9mm below the bed holder, ensuring perfect alignment with the pulleys. 3. The belt bottom maintains a safe clearance of 1-2mm from the holder. However, users should note that during the self-locking process, some tension in the belt may be released, making it essential to use a belt tensioner for optimal performance. To assemble this device, you will need an additional spring sourced from a pen (refer to the image provided). The SCAD source code is included, allowing users to customize the design according to their specific needs. For instance, if you have a different spring, you can easily modify the file to accommodate it. The SCAD code also includes an over-complicated model of a GT2 belt as a programming exercise for enthusiasts.
