Self-Intersecting Curve
thingiverse
The curved shape is defined by x = cos(t), y = sin(t), and z = 1 / (1 + t^2) from t = -2pi to t = 2pi. Two STL files are provided, one with the equations that describe this curve, while the other does not contain these mathematical formulas. This intricate model was carefully designed and successfully printed by my talented WLU summer research student Ryan McDonnell, a member of the class of '17.
