Self Draining Kitchen Sponge Holder

Self Draining Kitchen Sponge Holder

Hi Everyone! This is the design that's finally ready for prime time. It's a simple sponge holder with a sloping bottom, allowing water to drain off (so the sponge isn't stuck in its own murky liquid). I've found this thing works incredibly well at drying sponges efficiently! As you can see from the design, scaling it up or down is easy - just adjust the X and Y coordinates to fit your sponge perfectly. You can still spot some support material lingering in the windows of the second photo; I forgot to remove them before taking the picture. This design is remarkably thin, coming in at a mere 2mm thickness. This made printing much faster than expected, and I believe that a sponge holder doesn't need to be excessively thick. I printed it at an impressive speed of 50mm per second using a 60-degree bed temperature and a nozzle setting of 200. For those interested in recreating this design, I use Cura for slicing. Make sure to enable supports on the overhanging parts - I found a distance of .1mm worked flawlessly, but had issues with .2mm.
