Small objects such as electron microscopy grids can be manipulated using self-closing forceps designed for precision handling. Originally fabricated with PLA material, these forceps include a brim for added support during the printing process. To refine their function, carefully remove excess material from the brim with a razor blade and clear any overhanging portions to improve maneuverability. Next, sharpen the forceps' tips to enhance dexterity, then insert a packing peanut between the handles to increase compression and stability.
