Self-Clamping Wrench
grabcad
This tool is designed to easily tighten and loosen hexagonal nuts and screws with width across flats ranging from 9-14mm and 15-22mm. Discovering it in my toolbox, I found it both simple and effective. Examine the precisely replicated tool to understand its functionality. The manufacturing processes for its components include riveting, machining, punching, and die casting. Hexagonal nuts and screws are modeled with actual threads (based on theoretical values). Users of PTC software for 3D modeling can use these components as templates, along with the provided Excel file for calculating metric thread values. The assembly is available in STEP format (.stp), and native files (.prt) and (.asm) are included in a zipped folder for PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 users. Thank you for your interest!
