Self clamping mobile phone holder
thingiverse
A remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2082845 The purpose of this remix is to make the holder a bit more compact and prevent the mechanism from locking when fully extended. It fits an iPhone 7 or 8, and I found that the grip was improved greatly by attaching self adhesive rubber foam strips to the clamp arms. The base has a large hole to facilitate connection of a charging cable when the phone is in the holder. The photograph shows a white phone holder glued to a pair of Lotus Elise S1 dashboard clips, in situ. Refer to the original Thing (link above) for a diagram of the assembled holder. To assemble the holder, you will need to print:- - 1 x Back Plate - 1x Clamp Base - 1 x Slider Bar - 2 x Clamp Arms - 2 x Connecting bars - 4 x Pivot Clips
