Self Centering Joy Stick
thingiverse
What we have here is a Self-Centering Joy Stick. Designed to be tall enough for most hands to wrap around, it's perfect for individuals with limited hand mobility. I designed this specifically for my friend who recently had a cast removed after breaking his wrist. With restricted movement in his hand, I wanted to create something that would help him gauge his recovery progress. To assemble the Self-Centering Joy Stick, you'll need some small elastics, which should be fitted until they provide a good amount of tension. Additionally, you'll require 4 or 8 zip ties (or M3 nuts and bolts) to secure the elastics from the joystick to its base. The elastics on all four sides will offer resistance and self-centering properties. This compact joy stick has a base measuring about 6x6cm and stands at approximately 16cm tall. It could easily be modified for use as an actual joystick controller, offering endless possibilities.
