I'm using an ESP8266 as the host CPU and I successfully ported the code from Arduino Uno to ESP8266. It functions remarkably well! My project configuration is: 1. ESP-12F (ESP8266 module) x 1 2. MPU6050 x 1 3. A4988 x 2 4. NEMA39 stepper x 2 5. SG90 servo x 1 6. 12v Lipro battery x 1 7. I DIY'd the motor board.
