Self Adjusting Filament Holder 2

Upgrade your initial filament holder by printing ring2.1.stl file. This new holder accommodates non-spooled filaments and features a collapsible design to fit into the filament's core. It also has spring-loaded expansion for ease of use. Compatible with Original Makerbot holders, see photos for assembly instructions. To print, avoid rafts or supports; low quality is sufficient. Print Pin 1 and Pin 2 with high quality at 100% infill. If you don't need these pins, print Center arm Bushing instead and attach using 1 inch 6/32 hardware with washers on both sides. Secure the setup with medium-sized rubber bands on spool rings' clips for optimal tension. For additional support, use an empty spool with a second mount to feed filament through your Adjustable spool, which should be clipped onto your Makerbot using the original holder.
