New version (yes, yet another one... and I hope the last, I don't see any other way to do the job) named Selectron (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4092941) was born! Prototype assembled and tested, it works OK. Read always updates at BOP A couple of weeks ago, googling around, I came across Selectra 5 which attracted my attention; awesome its method of changing filament and, since I love challenges, I said to myself "I want to try to make my own...". And Selefast (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4034323) was born. But, being not so much satisfied of my project , I decided to try to port the original Selectra5 into the plastic world. And SelefaXt is here... In this release: - four filaments, but it can easily expanded to five or more (who need it?) or shrinked down to two filaments with supplied items - implemented T8*8mm, so the max work the motor has to do is just two revolutions to switch from a color to the adiacent one - added a visualizer of selected color, with the aid of one cubic 5x5x5mm and one spherical red 5mm neodymium magnets - I tried to keep it as small as possible (about 150x130mm motors and cover included) but at the same time printable without difficulty, and, last but not least, pleasant to eye - can be mounted in any convenient position For whom interested to, the whole project can be found on Tinkercad searching for "SelefaXt" There you'll also find ( for who like me is in a hurry to see SelefaXt working) a remixed support( support_V2 and cover_left_nema_side_V2 in items) wich allow to use a normal flexible coupler and a 95mm lead screw; you've just to interpose 3.5mm of washers among motors and support_V2.
