This object features Open in Customizer: Need to route a power or data cable through a panel and want it looking neat and tidy? Don't want to make measurements but know the cable type? Then use this select-o-matic version for hole cover needs! Perhaps you need a hole big enough for PC style power cable for a desk that needs to look professional. Simply click on "Open in Customizer" and select "PC Power Cord (C13/C15/C17/C18)" from the Plug list. Then just enter the desktop thickness and you're set to go. You can optionally decide if you want a flush or flanged cover, chamfered or filleted edge. If your feeling adventurous you can tweak even further in Advanced settings, but it's strictly not necessary. This is based on the same OpenSCAD code used for objects: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1011192, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1030514. But has been optimized for Customizer Select-o-matic use. If you want to print hole grommets with different sizes or want full control then use one of the two objects listed above. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 or .15 mm Infill: 40% Notes: Since you are printing threads you'll want to print at high resolution, otherwise stair stepping will cause the threads to jam. We set infill to 40% but feel free to try lower infill settings - probably down to 20% will be okay. Since the wall thicknesses is so thin the slicer will generate parts that will end up mostly solid anyway. Instructions Customizer Parameters: If you have a new plug or cable you want added, please let me know. Should there be problems with a particular plug type from the list, please let me know and I'll fix it. This object only gets better with your help! Edit the parameters to make the panel grommet as needed. The OpenSCAD code generates parts designed for each other. So once you set the parameters and then generate each part, the inside, outside and cover will fit together.
