Sega Genesis/Mega Drive EA Cartridge Tab Replacement

This is a replacement tab specifically designed for EA branded Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games. Two STL files are included - one blank where the ECA emboss normally resides, and another with a Mega Drive logo embossed on it. I created this to use with some custom cartridge reproductions that necessitated an EA cartridge, but unwanted ECA logos were a problem. Printing vertically (as seen in the attached image) is recommended for two key reasons - first, it ensures the tab's strength is proportionate to the removal force required if it needs to be taken out of a cart; second, the embossed logo looks much nicer. It can be printed either straight up or at a 5° angle, setting the 5° miter on both ends parallel to the bed's face. If printed at an angle, aliasing may occur in the logo, but no supports are required for the tab. Printing straight up requires supports, but the logo will be free of aliasing; supports are necessary either way for the four clips.
