Sega Dreamcast GD2SD / GDEMU Tray (The original design)
thingiverse
I created a tray for the Dreamcast and GD Optical Drive Emulator. It has been available on Shapeways for a long time, but now I'm making it available here for people with 3D printers. Be aware that I've never printed this out on an FDM printer, so you do this at your own risk as I won't take responsibility for any damage to a Dreamcast. The images you see are from a commercial SLS Print. You might need to print this with supports, and I would do 100 percent infill for strength, and print ideally at less than 0.2mm layer height and in ABS if possible. The SD extension cables are available on Amazon and eBay, and you will need five screws in total unless you permanently glue this in place. I can tell you that this tray works very well when printed properly, and I use it on my Dreamcasts; it also does not restrict airflow as some other designs do. So try printing it out and have fun. Oh and please subscribe to my channel at www.youtube.com/10p6. 10p6, all rights reserved. Note a lot of people are copying this design or basing their design off this one. That is okay but make sure you credit 10p6 and shapeways.com/shops/10p6 or a copyright claim will be filed. This design has been on the official GDEMU site for a very long time. This is the original design which has been copied by others who are making a huge profit from it while giving no credit to this at all, and trying to make people believe that they designed it; they did not. Using a larger button or changing the design slightly does not make it their design.
