SEGA DreamCast Controller Port LED Holder

Designed this to simplify the installation of LED's in the SEGA DreamCast's controller ports, making it easier and eliminating the need for hot-glue. Lines the LED's up perfectly to shine straight into each port. Modders and DIYers have asked about this multiple times, but I've been tweaking the design slowly and now feel it's ready for everyone. This still requires cutting out the back of the controller ports, which I rate as "Moderate" in terms of ease of installation. Provided pictures should make it clear how to install. Unfortunately, I don't have time to shoot a quick video. Please be aware that you do this at your own risk! Be cautious when cutting out the backs of the ports - there's a possibility of harming yourself or others nearby. To avoid accidents, I personally de-solder the ports and use DeoxIT to clean them before re-soldering all controller connections. This design will fit with the stock fuse in place, but you might need to bend it out of the way. Usually, I bend it forward towards the controller ports or move it to the bottom of the board. When cutting the LED strip, try to leave the whole pad intact - this will give you more surface area for soldering. This might waste 1-2 LEDs from your strip, but that's a small price to pay for easier installation. The wings on both sides were designed to hold the LED strip back with super glue, making it easier to solder. This is optional but highly recommended. Squeezing the LED strip into the holder can be tricky at first, but with practice you'll get the hang of it. Work from one side to the other and don't give up - I believe in your ability to succeed!
