Seeoo glasses case (plastic part)
thingiverse
My dad's reading glasses, a pince nez design, came in a plastic and metal case that's just okay. Eventually, the plastic component warped, and I decided to create a better case for him by designing and 3D printing one (original aluminum parts and M1 screws were required).\n\nI took into consideration a few key points when creating this new design.\nFirst off, it needs to hold my dad's glasses securely. I made sure the new case is spacious enough so he can easily put his pince nez glasses inside without worrying about them getting scratched or broken.\nThe plastic case deformed after a while because it wasn't very sturdy, but I solved this issue by using a more rigid material for the new design. The result is a much more robust and reliable case that will last my dad a long time.\nAlso, I made sure the screws are easily accessible so he can take his pince nez glasses in and out of the case without any hassle.
