Seej Mods

UPDATE!! (11/10/14) Just added a reinforced support bar for the catapult to maintain stability on both sides. I designed these bars awhile back but forgot to upload them: I also included additional spacers for the top bar, which I've uploaded an image of so you know exactly where they go. Initially, I was unhappy with how the Seej catapult arm functioned, so I created a custom arm for myself that not only performs better but is also easier to assemble and attach. Interestingly enough, my design shares similarities with this version http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:128388 by MacGyver, which I tried before it broke after just a few uses. As an alternative solution, I strengthened the original design by incorporating extra structural elements while retaining key features from the previous model. Visually speaking, my arm looks sturdier and has two cylinders on either side to prevent sideways slippage; I used one of the original crossbars as it was still effective even though a bit too small. Once assembled with the rubber bands, everything is securely in place due to the bar's shape. As for functionality, you can position rubber bands in either the bottom or top slot (or use both if preferred). Utilizing multiple bands will naturally increase range; personally, I found using one band per side was efficient for my playing needs. Feel free to add as many rubber-bands as fit into the available slots. A suggested companion piece for further enhancements: this mod from thoromyr - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:194000 enhances structural integrity significantly. This addition complements well with images I uploaded previously showcasing the new components. Lastly, a useful tip is that coin or ammo holders make perfect use of those leftover side openings due to reduced necessity. One such version for these custom-made pieces allows them to be attached directly to your Bloxen; if you are interested, download it as per usual.
