prusaprinters

Mold to make seedling pots out of newspaper. Cut a strip of newspaper about 15 cm wide and 25 cm long. Fold the newspaper lengthwise so that it is now 7.5 cm wide x 25 cm long. Align the folded edge with the grooved line on the mold and roll it up. Fold the bottom flaps inward and then press the newspaper covered molding stick into the base firmly. Remove the base and then slide the seedling pot off.

If the pot unravels try wrapping it tighter before pressing into the base.

If the pot tears when you slide it off the mold try wrapping it a bit looser.

If the pot tears at the bottom try pressing it into the base with a bit less force. Use the funnel to add soil and then add a seed at the appropriate depth. Place on a drip tray. Water lightly but do not overwater or the newspaper will fall apart! Transplant into the garden when the seedling reaches the appropriate height.

With my daughter helping we easily made 60 pots in about 15 minutes.

This thing was made with Tinkercad.
