Instructions This replacement part serves as a top layer for the bowl in an AeroGarden 3 hydroponic kit. I have created two versions of this tray, each capable of holding a different number of Grodan 1.5" Rockwool cubes: one holds up to 16, while the other accommodates 20. To use this tray, start by germinating your seeds in 1.5" rockwool cubes as you normally would. Once they have sprouted, transfer them to this starter tray. It's essential not to attempt to sprout them using the AeroGarden Bio-Domes. The cubes are packed tightly within the tray, making it necessary to transfer them quickly or risk their roots growing together. This replacement tray is ideal for growing starters that will eventually be transferred into zipgrow hydroponic towers; however, you can also use it for soil-based plants. Notes: 1) To prevent light from reaching the bowl below the plants, ensure all squares are filled with cubes, using empty rockwool cubes if necessary. 2) This tray is designed specifically to fit Grodan 1.5" rockwool plugs and may not work optimally with anything else of a different shape or size. 3) One hole is directly above the air pump hose, resulting in an imperfect fit for the cube that occupies this space.
