See-Through Juvenile Marine Breeder Trays

See-Through Juvenile Marine Breeder Trays

Two sizes of breeder tray for raising settled juveniles with convenient viewing. These trays are held onto the side of the aquarium using algae magnets (minimum two, minimum 3 for the taller one) and have a vent in the bottom where you attach mesh to allow for water exchange while keeping in the juveniles and their food (I'd recommend 200-250 micron nylon mesh). There are also light blockers sized for a standard 10 gallon rimmed tank to keep out stray light if needed. To make either you need the body of choice and one cover (fits both). Once printed in PET (or saltwater safe), run a length of silicone airline tubing in the round groove that faces the glass for a sealing gasket (you can use a small amount of superglue or silicone to stick it down, but this is optional). Then put the tray inside the tank, slid up to the waterline you want, and affix to the glass with an algae magnet on either side (and/or one at the bottom) on the flat tabs.
