The Sedan Crater is a fascinating geological formation that has captured the attention of scientists and researchers worldwide. Located in the Nevada Test Site, this massive impact crater was created as a result of a nuclear test conducted by the United States government in 1962. The explosion that produced the crater had an energy release equivalent to around 100 kilotons of TNT, which is roughly one-seventh the power of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during World War II.
