Mounting Laview security cameras on 1 gang switch boxes required a solution that accommodated their unique design. Each camera features a press fit nut measuring 7.77 mm in diameter, positioned on its underside. To secure the camera, insert the provided nuts into the outlet box and then screw the camera firmly onto the press fit screws. It's essential to measure the correct length of the bolt for each camera brand, as it cannot protrude beyond the base of the mount. This ensures a secure and stable installation. In addition to providing a mounting solution, this design also conceals the arch at the camera base where wires are typically routed out. This feature is particularly useful when trying to maintain a clean and organized appearance. For cameras that need to be positioned lower than others, a custom spacer can be created by sinking it into the build plate during the slicing process. This modification reduces the overall height of the camera, allowing it to clear any obstacles in its path.
