Securing Hinges Pins Jig

Securing Hinges Pins Jig

I designed a compact pin jig just a few hours ago to securely fasten hinges on my remote-controlled airplanes. I employ some precision-cut pins, which I insert vertically through the balsa wood and the hinge itself. To cut these pins accurately, I use a wire cutter. To guarantee uniformity in all my pin cuts, I created this mini jig. Using it is straightforward: simply place the pin in the designated hole, position the cutter on the jig, and then make your cut. This method ensures that every pin comes out with an almost identical length. Although I'm unsure if anyone else will find this helpful, I decided to share my creation nonetheless. To facilitate customization, I've made the OpenSCAD source file available for download.
