Secure Latch
thingiverse
This latch will not open until you pull up on the lever - perfect for an RV or boat where shifting items can cause a normal latch to spring open immediately. It features a built-in printed spring that causes it to snap shut with a pleasant click sound. Designed for flush 12mm door panels and attaching directly to a 1-inch thick face frame, it is adaptable to other panel and face frame thicknesses by utilizing custom designs from included files. You can customize the latch for use on both doors and drawers. The design also includes the file for printing your own hinges! Printer Settings: Manufacturer: MakerGear Model: M2 Use of Rafts: No Presence of Supports: Yes Printing Resolution: 0.2mm Infill Percentage: 35% Post-Printing Instructions: Secure the latch using a 1 and 1/8-inch long #6 screw for pivoting. To fit this latch, cut a notch in your panel that is 1.025 inches wide by 0.850 deep. The latch can be fastened securely in place with two 18-gauge brads. For the hinge halves, print two of each per hinge. Use a 1 and 1/2-inch long 4D finish nail for the hinge pin. If necessary, you may need to drill out the hole if it is too tight by using a 5/64ths drill. Fasten the hinges with #6 screws in place.
