Sectional Track for WarLayer Trains
thingiverse
These are sectional track sections for wargaming trains designed by Warlayer. I needed tracks that could be easily assembled and stay aligned during the game, so I adapted Andrew's sets, scaling down straight and curved STL files to 60% in X and Y axes and 80% for the Z axis to replicate a small industrial narrow gauge railroad suitable for Mantic's Deadzone game. To use these track sections, you'll need to scale down Warlayer train cars and wheelsets to 60% or scale up the tracks to fit the original vehicles. I had to trim my printer's tabs slightly to achieve a smooth fit. Since this is for static display purposes, I omitted flangeways and frog details on switches because the train wheels sit inside the rails rather than on the track with flanges. Adding these features would require larger cutouts, which seemed unnecessary given the intended use. Warlayer trains are available on the Warlayer website at https://warlayer.com/. You can find free sample Warlayer designs on Andrew's page at https://www.thingiverse.com/aaskedall/designs. I obtained permission to upload these files from Andrew.
