Second and Third Iteration Sierpinski Tetrahedra
thingiverse
The Sierpinski Triangle is the 3D equivalent of the Sierpinski Gasket, a well-known 2D fractal that starts with a triangle and progressively removes smaller triangles. A genuine Sierpinski Pyramid has zero volume due to an infinite number of smaller pyramids being removed. How I Built This The Sierpinski Pyramid can be created by combining numerous other pyramids or by starting with a base pyramid and removing progressively smaller pyramids. I built this model by arranging pyramids in lower iteration Sierpinski Pyramids to form a higher iteration model. The sides were then expanded so there would be sufficient overlap among individual pyramids for printing. Iteration 1 Iteration 2 Solidified Iteration 2
