Guys, about 500 views and over 100 downloads but only one like isn't cool. Don't be afraid to commit; it's just a simple sign of appreciation. It'll help the model get more exposure, and it makes me want to post more content. Thanks. Hi everyone, I printed some Anet A8 fan nozzles myself, but didn't like the ones I found (performance-wise and because most also completely blocked my view of the object being printed). So, I made my own. To fix the viewing issue, I designed this duct as three-quarters of a circle so you can see your print from the left. Regarding performance, I made two things: 1- The round duct is tapered as it goes around to maintain air pressure all around (as much as possible). 2- The air comes out through a bunch of tubes that are angled down to prevent cooling the nozzle as much as possible and maximize air directed at the hot plastic. I ensured the total area of the exhaust ducts is about the same as the fan's exhaust so there shouldn't be much back pressure. Some holes are smaller than others based on various iterations of the duct where some holes blew more air than others. It's not perfect, but it's as good as I can get it right now. Comments welcomed, and please like it if you do; post your makes! PS: This should be printed out of ABS or something because PLA would warp (my original was in PLA, and I had all sorts of drooping issues with it). This is especially true since the exit ducts are quite close to the heating block and print nozzle. Also, it fits right into the fan, but I have had to use tape to make sure it doesn't fall off. PPS: You might have to watch your nozzle temperature during the first few prints; I had to reduce my fan speed to about 50% (instead of 100% before) because the head would cool off too much with this duct. PPPS: I also uploaded the .123dx file if someone wants to modify it. Please make sure you give me some credit if you do that.
