3D model of Seawater Solar Distillation Plant. The plant uses a double-space system: a cold space for condensation, and a hot space for evaporation. A pipe delivers seawater to both spaces in turn. First, it cools the space with its flow and heats up, preparing it for its trip into the heat space where the solar light causes water vapor to rise through boiling action. 2 extra heaters are on hand to amplify the process when needed. A mesh screen protects against evaporation loss while the rooftop provides optimal surface area collection. Seawater rises into this area via electric pump to then travel up the pipes.
