The Seattle Seahawks are a top-tier American football team based in Seattle, Washington. As members of the highly competitive National Football League (NFL), they have taken home the coveted Super Bowl title. They compete within the NFC West division of the National Football Conference (NFC) against some of the league's toughest opponents. When the Seahawks first entered the NFL scene in 1976 as an expansion team, they shared the spotlight with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's worth noting that the Seattle Seahawks have no connection to a defunct football team called the Miami Seahawks from the All-America Football Conference. The Seahawks' ownership is held by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, and their current coach is Pete Carroll. Since 2002, they've been calling CenturyLink Field home, situated just south of downtown Seattle's bustling streets. Before moving to this state-of-the-art stadium, the Seahawks played at the Kingdome (1976–1999) and Husky Stadium (1994, 2000–2001).
