Seat Riser Block - Kawasaki Versys
thingiverse
As many have observed, the seat on the Versys is tilted forward just a bit too much. Several remedies are available, from a new seat cover to using stacks of washers to elevate the front end of the stock seat. I have come up with what I believe is a low-cost yet refined solution: A 3D printed Riser Block! It raises the front of the seat by about 12mm to provide a much more comfortable ride. I've accumulated over 600 miles on my riser block and it has been performing flawlessly. Print Settings Printer: miniKossel Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20% Notes: I attempt to use a minimum of three layers for the walls, and three layers for both the top and bottom. So far, PLA has been working well for me, but ABS or PET might be better options.
