Seat lever knob
thingiverse
I am concerned about the seat adjusting levers on my old Toyota Corolla Seca, they have razor-sharp edges that make it a real challenge to get in or out of the car without injuring yourself. You could argue that the vehicle may have had protective caps on the levers at some point in its past life, but unfortunately those have long since vanished. I decided to design and manufacture a very simple knob myself that would safeguard passengers from accidents involving their legs. This custom-made part can be modified in OpenSCAD to suit any specific situation, simply adjust the interior diameter, exterior diameter and length as required for your particular project, ensuring it's a snug fit on the lever. Note: The model was printed on a Makerbot Replicator 1 Dual with a print speed of 90/150 mm/s, layer thickness of 0.2mm, two shells, 10% infill, raft and no support.
