WARNING: This is a temporary fix. Use at your own risk, as I will not be liable for any damage or harm caused by this makeshift solution. The hinge broke off and until I receive my replacement part, this will have to do. It's made from PLA, so durability expectations are low. If I remember, I'll post an update on how long it survives the Austrian winter. Designed specifically for my SEAT Leon 1P, but it should fit many VAG cars from that era (VW, Audi, Skoda). Note: It works without a spring, though I recommend using one. In my case, I repurposed a salvaged spring with dimensions Ø8 x 22mm and 8 turns.
