Seat heater switch panel adapter
thingiverse
This thing is an adapter to allow you to install seat heater switches in your dashboard, console, or other flat surface. I recently installed a seat heater kit in my Tacoma and the switches did not fit my OEM Toyota cutouts... and besides, I wanted them in the console... so I designed this thing to accomplish that. This is made for the rectangular switches that come with many kits... see photos. There are 2 parts, the main panel insert and an end piece that needs to be glued on. It was easier to print this way instead as a unit because this does away with massive supports which are difficult or impossible to remove cleanly. There are tabs built into the part that snaps into the console and it has features that the switch tabs engage so except for the end piece this all goes into the car without glue and can be easily removed when necessary. Cut the hole in the console about a millimeter or 2 bigger than the insert. Edit: I also posted up a revised thicker end piece to adjust how far the switches insert in order to make them flush in my application. You can edit that part as necessary to adjust the insertion to whatever you need and print that simple part without having to modify the main piece.
