Seat Belt Grabber - Occupational Therapy Assistive Device
thingiverse
A person with limited mobility can now extend their reach thanks to a clever device. The device attaches above the seatbelt buckle, providing assistance to those who struggle to access it in its standard position. Once attached, it stays firmly in place but is easily removable and installable. The device's handle features a strategically placed hole that allows users to attach string or cord, further enhancing reach capabilities. This innovative solution was brought to life by Annie McCollum, an Occupational Therapy student at Winston-Salem State University, and Jeff Powell, a Medical Student at Wake Forest and UNC Charlotte Graduate School alumnus.
