Sears Compact Garage Remote Button Guard

Sears Compact Garage Remote Button Guard

I kept frustratingly pressing the remote button when the control was tucked into my pocket. The most infuriating incidents occurred when I had the tailgate door of my SUV open and accidentally slammed the garage door, scratching the tailgate door in the process. I finally reached my limit and designed this protective cover to safeguard against such mishaps. I created two versions: button_guard_long.stl, which exposes the main button, and button_guard_short.stl, which showcases all three buttons. This ingenious design is snug enough to prevent accidental sliding along the remote but loose enough to be manipulated with one hand. It was crafted so that the long version stops precisely at the label "pocket" on the back of the remote. The short version doesn't seem to stop at the label pocket as accurately as the long version. To install it, simply attach it from the "keyring" end.
