<h3>Search Engine Spam Awareness Coaster</h3><p>I love these contests, but I fear they will spam the Printables Search Engine with so many search terms that only describe coaster motifs to make it virtually useless.</p><p>(Replace “coaster” with the flash contest topic of the week … each contest floods the system with another couple of hundred search terms for a single class of items.)</p><p><strong>So - here's a Search Engine Spam coaster to raise awareness of an upcoming problem that requires some sharp thinking to avoid!</strong></p><p>Customizable OpenSCAD source enclosed so that you can change the text to something that's closer to your own heart! ;-)</p><h4>Example Search Engine Shortcomings</h4><ol><li>It is not possible to search <strong>within </strong>a specific <i>category</i>. Search is always global.</li><li>It is not possible to search <strong>for </strong>a specific <i>category</i>. There is a mechanism to search for <i>tags</i>, but of course users placing their <i>prints </i>in <i>categories</i> won't intuitively see a reason to create a <i>tag </i>with the <i>category </i>name. The same mechanism used to search for <i>tags </i>could be used to search for <i>categories</i>, but it doesn't exist, despite <i>categories </i>being a much more useful and robust aspect of <i>print </i>meta information.</li></ol>
