The SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) is a manned submersible utilized to insert U.S. Navy SEALs and their equipment for covert missions inaccessible areas. The Royal Navy's Special Boat Service also employs this vehicle, operating three SDVs. Notably, the SDV should not be confused with the dry Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS), as it is flooded and exposes swimmers to water while relying on compressed air or SCUBA gear for breathing. In contrast, ASDS offers a full life support system and air conditioning inside its dry interior.
