It didn't take long to realize this was intended for laptops. I had someone try it in a big drive, and BOOM, nothing got hurt. It has worked in the bigger drives on my computer, but that one was older, so I guess a label burner CD might try to spin it. Try it at your own risk, though - it's perfect for laptops. No hub is needed for big drives, and disengaging makes the drive hub larger, but the motor can't spin it (for a drive that might try spinning this creation). People have asked if it will read cards, and yes, it does function. I'm using it myself, though it requires some work. At least you can put that unused thing in your computer to get it working again. What's it called? Anyways, at 3 mm thick, some players might not accept it. None of my readers have tried spinning it, and if they do, the cards are tight. If you're inventive, you can de-pad it a bit by shaving some off the Z. It doesn't come near the laser on my laptop player.
