This is a 3D scan of a sea urchin captured using the NextEngine Scanner at its highest setting. My friend discovered this specimen 30 meters underwater on the ocean floor off the coast of La Isabela in the Dominican Republic many years ago. I still possess it, and I think it would be an excellent item to test the scanner with and also a great challenge for your printer! If you decide to print it, please share a photo of your work.
