I discovered that each model was a distinct object and couldn't be sliced effectively on its own. I imported it into Zbrush, where I used Dynamesh to reshape the mesh and decimated the topology while preserving its original detail. This allowed me to slice the model much more efficiently than before. For optimal quality, I recommend setting the layer height to 0.06 for the best results.
