Sea of Thieves Music Box

This is my DIY Sea of Thieves Music Box, crafted from 3D printed components and a wooden box sourced from Michaels. Check out the music box in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOMFXEI7GuM. For a deeper dive into how it works, watch this video explaining the project's inner workings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tot6BvcMXzA. Here are the parts I used: * Wooden Box ($3.79, Michaels) * Raspberry Pi Zero W ($5, Micro Center) * Adafruit Speaker Bonnet I2S ($12.95, Micro Center) * 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor with ULN2003 Driver ($6.99, Micro Center) * 2 x 4ohm 3w Speakers (Approx. $5, leftover from a previous project) * Acrylic Paint and Brushes ($5, Michaels) * Skateboard Bearings ($5, local skate shop) * Approximately $5 worth of 3D Printer Filament * Hot Glue (more than I'd like to admit) * Painter's Tape and Masking Tape * Extra Wire The total cost came out to be just under $50, but you can replicate this project for around $20-$30 if you opt for a cheaper audio solution. A low-pass filter and speaker setup can be put together for less than $5, and the stepper motor is available online for a lower price. Here are the tools I used: * 3D Printer (nearly essential for this project) * Soldering Iron * Exacto Knives (used for various tasks throughout the project) * Paint and Brushes * Hot Glue Gun * Needlenose Pliers * Dremel * Screwdrivers * Files * Calipers
