Sea-Doo Speedster Rotax Engine Air Box Clip

Sea-Doo Speedster Rotax Engine Air Box Clip

thingiverse

This design was inspired by the Sea-Doo Speedster 1998 Airbox clip. Specifically, it's based on the clip that connects the two parts of the airbox together. To get the best results, print this model vertically so that the threads holding the boxes in place are continuous. I had to create a replacement for the clips since my Sea Doo is no longer manufactured and spare parts are extremely hard to find. I based this design on the second-to-last clip from the original eight that came with my boat - yes, I've lost six already! It's time to act before I lose the last two. This model is suitable for a Rotax engine, so if you recognize the part, it might fit your jet-ski or boat as well. Feel free to download and print this design for personal use only. The license for this model is non-commercial, which means you're not allowed to sell it. This is because the design likely infringes on existing Sea-Doo (Bombardier) or Rotax intellectual property. I'm not a fan of the factory design, especially the finger grips and rear clip, which are finicky - probably why I lost the first six clips in the first place. Nevertheless, this model is an exact replica of the original part. When I have time, I'll redesign my own version that's better and easier to use. If you find this design useful, consider buying me a coffee at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theStan - it's completely optional but kindness makes the world a better place. Thanks for your support!
