A thorough examination of the remnants of a seawall/coastal defense system situated on Hayling Island, Hampshire, reveals its origins as part of the infrastructure that supported the historic Hayling Billy Line railway, which began operations in 1865 and ultimately ceased service in 1963. The rails have long since vanished, and today this former rail route is repurposed for recreational purposes, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and human ingenuity.
