Sea Cave at Muriwai

I ventured into the rugged Maori Bay at Muriwai, New Zealand, and encountered a challenging environment to scan. The low light levels posed a significant obstacle, exacerbated by reflections off the damp sand and the constant threat of waves crashing through from the adjacent cave entrance. As I navigated this uncooperative terrain, I had an opportunity to test my skills. However, the outcome fell short of my expectations, failing to capture the vast size and dramatic lighting of the cave as vividly as I had envisioned. Upon closer inspection, I discovered remnants of graffiti on the cave walls, a testament to the passage of time, with some marks dating back to the 1970s. Utilizing photogrammetry software, specifically 3DF Zephyr v4.501, I processed fifty images and generated a 3D model of this intriguing sea cave.
