SdKfz 222 A/C 2cm cannon

The German SdKfz 222 was a highly advanced armored car, boasting features similar to its predecessor, the Sd. Kfz. 221. This vehicle packed a powerful punch with its 2 cm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon and a 7.92 mm MG 13 machine gun. The crew had been increased to three by adding a skilled gunner, freeing up the commander from that task. In 1938, the MG 13 was replaced by the superior Maschinengewehr 34, while in 1942, the KwK 30 was upgraded with the faster-firing KwK 38 of identical caliber. Between 1937 and late 1943, a total of at least 990 units were produced for the army, solidifying its presence on the battlefield. Its full name, Leichter Panzerspähwagen (2 cm), reflected its lightweight yet potent design. The SdKfz 222 was often deployed in groups of three to every one SdKfz 223, making it a force to be reckoned with on the front lines. As a seasoned wargamer operating at 1/144th scale, I've had the privilege of crafting my models within this scale. However, upscaling to other dimensions proves to be relatively straightforward, allowing for versatility in model design. ### Initial Model and Changes Models were added on August 28, 2018. Some early vehicles lacked the left fender locker, as depicted in a photograph. There are three primary models featuring early (A), early-mid (B), or mid-late (C) vision ports. Each can be customized with various wheels and one of four turrets. * A1: Wheel guards & covered spare * A2: Wheel guards & covered spare, no radiator shield, missing fender locker * A3: No wheel guards & covered spare, no radiator shield, missing fender locker * A4: No wheel guards & covered spare, missing fender locker * A5: No wheel guards & covered spare * A6: Wheel guards & uncovered spare * A7: Wheel guards & uncovered spare, no radiator shield * A8: Wheel guards & uncovered spare, no radiator shield, missing fender locker * A9: No wheel guards & uncovered spare, no radiator shield, missing fender locker * A10: No wheel guards & uncovered spare * B1: Wheel guards & covered spare * B2: Wheel guards & covered spare, missing fender locker * B3: Wheel guards & covered spare, no radiator shield, missing fender locker * B4: Wheel guards & covered spare, no radiator shield * B5: No wheel guards & uncovered spare, no radiator shield, missing fender locker * B6: No wheel guards & uncovered spare, missing fender locker * C1: Wheel guards & covered spare * C2: Wheel guards & covered spare, no radiator shield * C3: No wheel guards & covered spare * C4: Wheel guards & uncovered spare * C5: No wheel guards & uncovered spare * C6: No wheel guards & uncovered spare, no radiator shield This results in over 22+ variations. The initial model was created by TigerAce1945's sdkfz 222, with possible elements from M-Bergman's 1:200 and 1:100 series. The origin of the tires is unclear. Production has not yet commenced; I typically have my models printed commercially in resin.
