The Jagdtiger, or Hunting Tiger, was a German heavy tank destroyer from WWII based on an elongated Tiger II chassis (officially Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf.B). Designated Sd.Kfz. 186, the 71-tonne vehicle was the heaviest armored fighting machine used operationally during the war and remains the heaviest series-produced armored vehicle to date.
