Widespread throughout World War II, the Sd.Kfz. 9, commonly referred to as Famo, was a heavily utilized German half-track that earned its reputation as the heaviest mass-produced vehicle of any kind within Nazi Germany during those tumultuous years. Primarily used for transporting massive guns like the 24 cm Kanone 3, this versatile beast of machinery also functioned admirably as a tank recovery vehicle. Between 1938 and 1945, manufacturers diligently worked to produce approximately 2,500 of these vehicles.
