This is a revised design of my original SD cube
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2581513

In this version I considered SirMichael74's comments and aimed to resolve issues related to tolerances, to improve functionality and simplify assembly.
The Original SD Cube is a 3 year old design using Autodesk 123D design . As a concept it was satisfactory, however there is always room for improvement.

With this version I tried to address the following:
1 The pivot pin for the locking arm was too small and could shear off. This is now larger and significantly stronger.
2 The features used to allign and register a shelf to the next could be problematic. These have been changed to tapered slots with better tollerances.
3 The SD card had to be inserted in a certain orientation, inserting the card differently interfered with the locking arm functionality. The SD card can now be inserted in any orientation without obstructing arm movement.
4 The assembly process including applying adhesive was delicate. Parts now snap together more positively and applying adhesive is simplified and produces stronger objects.
5 The original thing was posted in one file that contained all components needed to produce a cube with 7 SD card capacity. With this version the 3 individual components are in seperate files. You can print cubes of capacities to suit your needs.

This is completely new design based on the original idea using the excellent Autodesk Fusion360 software. In this version the cube is aprox 2mm longer and the height of shelves is slightly less resulting in a shorther overall height for a given number of shelves.

I hope that people who downloaded and printed the previous version are not too unhappy to discover that I posted a revision. I beleive that the improvements are worth it.

Thank you for viewing SD Cube V2
